Miralax Information:

MiraLax (Generic name: Fluconazole) is the #1 prescribed laxative available OTC used to treat occasional constipation. MiraLax also called RestoraLax in the US. The main active ingredient is 100% Polyethylene Glycol 3350. It works effectively and safely by bringing water into your bowel to increase the bowel movements and relieve constipation. MiraLax should be used for 7 days or less or as directed by your doctor.

Miralax Side Effects:

The most common MiraLax side effects are abdominal pain, diarrhea, headache, nausea, or vomiting. If you are experiencing any severe side effects including dehydration, excessive number of bowel movements, persistent diarrhea, rectal bleeding, severe stomach pain, or a sign of serious allergic reaction (e.g., difficult breathing; itching; rash; swelling), please inform your doctor immediately.

Miralax Precautions:

Do NOT take MiraLax oral if you are allergic to Fluconazole or any of the ingredients in MiraLax medication. Before taking MiraLax, tell your doctor if you have had any medical conditions, such as kidney disease, stomach or intestinal problems.
