Urocit K Information:

Urocit (also known as Urocit-K, Generic name: Potassium Citrate) is a prescription medication used to prevent the formation of certain types of kidney stones including renal tubular acidosis. Urocit-K contains the active ingredient Potassium Citrate. Potassium Citrate belongs to a class of drugs called urinary alkalinizers. It helps the kidney to decrease the production of uric acid, thereby to prevent gout and kidney stones. Urocit-K is available in an extended release oral tablet form containing potassium citrate. Take Urocit-K exactly as your doctor has prescribed for you.

Urocit-K can also be used to prevent kidney stones in dogs and cats. Use Urocit-K as your veterinarian has prescribed for your pets.
