Uroxatral Information:

Uroxatral (Generic name: Alfuzosin Hydrochloride Extended-Release) is a prescription medication used to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men with enlarged prostates. BPH is a noncancerous enlargement of the prostate gland that usually occurs in men after the age of 50. Alfuzosin Hydrochloride is an alpha-adrenergic blocker. Alfuzosin HCl helps relax the muscles in the prostate and bladder which may lessen the symptoms of BPH and improve urine flow. Take Uroxatral tablets exactly as it was prescribed for you.

Uroxatral Side Effects:

The most common Uroxatral side effects are decreased sexual ability, dizziness, fainting, headache, light-headedness, tiredness, upper respiratory tract infection, and etc. If you are experiencing any severe side effects including chest pain, dark urine, fever, jaundice, or symptoms of an allergic reaction (e.g., difficult breathing; hives; itching; rash; swelling), please inform your doctor immediately.

Uroxatral Precautions:

Do NOT take Uroxatral if you are allergic to Alfuzosin or any of the ingredients in Uroxatral medication. Before taking Uroxatral oral, tell your doctor if you have had medical conditions, especially of: angina (chest pain), coronary artery disease, heart problems, low blood pressure, prostate cancer, urinary tract disease, liver or kidney disease. Tell your doctor about all the prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) medications you use. They may interact with Uroxatral drug. Especially of: alpha-blockers, antifungal, HIV/AIDS medicines. Uroxatral medicine should NOT be treated high blood pressure.
