Vectical Information:

Vectical (Generic name: Calcitriol, also known as Silkis Ointment) is a topical medication used to treat mild to moderate plaque psoriasis in adults who are 18 years and older. Psoriasis is a chronic skin condition that produces red, dry plagues of chickened skin. About 3 percent of the US population has psoriasis. Vectical (Calcitriol) is a form of vitamin D. It works by controlling the excessive skin cell production. It is the only Vitamin D3 ointment if you suffer from mild to moderate plaque psoriasis. Vectical topical should not be applied to the eyes, face, lips and vaginal area. Use Vectical ointment exactly as it was prescribed for you.

Vectical Side Effects:

Vectical ointment is well tolerated. The most common adverse effects of Vectical are skin discomfort, irritation, itching at the application site. If you have experienced any serious effects, or worsened symptoms, or no improvements in psoriasis, inform your doctor immediately.

Vectical Precautions:

Do NOT use Vectical for psoriasis if you are allergic to Calcitriol or any of the ingredients in Vectical medication. Before using Vectical ointment, tell your doctor if you have had any medical conditions such as a calcium disorder or metabolic imbalance, have high or low calcium level in the blood, kidney or liver disease, or if you are receiving UR lights treatments (phototherapy).
