Taxotere (Docetaxel Injection) is a cancer medication used in the treatment of breast cancer, head and neck cancer, stomach cancer, prostate cancer and non-small-cell lung cancer. Taxotere is an antineoplastic agent that works by attacking the microtubular networks of cancer cells, or the ‘skeleton’ of the cell. Taxotere binds the microtubules, preventing them from reproducing or growing, which blocks the growth of cancer. Taxotere may be used alone or in combination with other chemotherapy medications.
