Leucovorin Calcium (Calcium Folinate) is an RX medication used to reduce the side effects of medications that block the effects of folic acid in the body, such as methotrexate, pyrimethamine, and trimethoprim. Leucovorin is also used to treat colorectal cancer in combination with other chemotherapy drugs, and can be used to treat anemia caused by folate deficiency.
